The fact that most students in high school were trained to study so hard for college and then get to college and study less makes me laugh just thinking about it. We were all taught to be prepared for this hard process of transition and that we needed to make sure we got the best of everything. Which is not bad to accomplish but to over teach kids in highschool then go to a college and have one class a day or more and learn/study less is amusing to me. I would like to talk about how other stud methods could help instead of frying our brains.
There are many people that would probably disagree and say tat studying for three hours a day is the best thing to do for school and to help you ass that major test which is not always a bad idea, I just like to think that a little studying each day or even a few times a day can be just as effective as well. I feel that when I had that test that I really didn't study for I jammed all of this information into my head for for 2.5 hours and by the time I was ready for bed it was 12:15 am and my brain was moving all over the place. Many of my friends are smarter than me and I am proud to accept that, unless it was in science I always had that in the palm of my hand. I barely studied and remembered it all just about. The school system is great and do not intend o making anyone mad over that but I always hated how they made our lives hell because they wanted us to be ready for college and here we are killing every homework assignment they give us with fling colors so they did help us with teaching us what we needed to know. I loved my high school and the teachers but they all had different views on college as well some said it was the hardest thing imaginable for school and the other said it was pretty simple and straight to the point. I like to think that most students won't admit that they love college and that its actually pretty simple if you pay attention and get help on what you don't understand. I also know that I rarely study and that most likely goes for at least half to a third of the college students here at RRCC.
I want to finish this off by just saying I have nothing against the schools or anyone for how they live their life, studying is annoying to me but I do it. There are a lot of students out there who don't study or rarely study because they just don't or they already have to info memorized. One secret to a college students life is that even though they say they study, it all comes down to whether they decide to better there chances slowly or risk over studying and getting bored or losing more infomation.
